“To mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between France and China, Professor Xu Bo, a former senior Chinese diplomat currently teaching at ESCP and Supelec among other institutions, has initiated a series of interviews with descendants or relatives of the founding fathers of Europe, as well as with key players in today’s Europe. Aimed at a young Chinese audience, the aim of these interviews is to tell them about the origins, raison d’\u00eatre and nature of the European project, as well as the sometimes obscure workings of our institutions. <\/p>\n\n

For this first episode of the series, which I had the honor of inaugurating, we met at the Maison Jean Monnet in the Yvelines, where my grandfather lived and worked from 1945 to 1979, and which is now a house-museum owned by the European Parliament.”<\/p>\n\n
