Organized by the Jean Monnet Institute, Antoine Jourdan, \u00c9ric Monnet, and Laurent Warlouzet, with support from Sorbonne University\u2019s Initiative Europe and the High Commission for Strategy and Planning, the event brought together several historians and economists to discuss current issues in planning.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" data-block-type=\"core\">Established in 1946 by Charles de Gaulle, the General Commission for Planning was placed under the leadership of Jean Monnet, who introduced a new approach to collective mobilization aimed at modernizing the country.
