Alongside Sylvie Goulard, Gerald Knaus, and Mario Monti, he took part in a discussion held at Caf\u00e9 Luitpold, at the invitation of Stephan J. Meier.<\/p>\n\n

The discussions highlighted several lessons that remain relevant today: in the face of a common threat, collective action is the only way forward; sharing sovereignty\u2014often hindered by national reluctance\u2014is nonetheless essential; and any effective cooperation begins with a shared analysis of the reality and the threats facing Europe. <\/p>\n\n

On February 13, 2026, during the Munich Security Conference, Jean-Marc Lieberherr, Founding President of the Institut Jean Monnet, took part in a discussion exploring the lessons of Jean Monnet\u2019s work during the two World Wars and the failure of the European Defense Community in 1954.<\/p>\n\n

Alongside Sylvie Goulard, Gerald Knaus, and Mario Monti, he participated in the discussion at Caf\u00e9 Luitpold, moderated by Stephan J. Meier.<\/p>\n\n
