The event brought together nearly 120 participants to discuss his legacy, his approach, and his connection to his hometown.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" data-block-type=\"core\">Following an introductory lecture by Jean-Marc Lieberherr Monnet, Jean Monnet\u2019s grandson and president of the Jean Monnet Institute, the discussion focused on the influence of Cognac\u2014its international outlook and commercial activity\u2014on Jean Monnet\u2019s vision and approach. The evening also provided an opportunity to reflect on how to better integrate this founding figure into the region\u2019s identity, influence, and future.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" data-block-type=\"core\">This gathering marks the beginning of a collaboration that is set to continue in order to keep Jean Monnet\u2019s European legacy alive in Cognac and throughout the region.<a
